Serena Cuevas

Starting in New York City, Serena has been dancing Ballroom & Latin club dances for 16 years. In 2008 she created Deseo Dance, an innovative styling company representing the United States worldwide. Based in San Diego, California, this is an exclusive ladies styling dance company whose mission is to create a learning environment where everyone grows to dance with confidence, ease, and passion to the level of their desire.

Over the years, Serena has competed in some of the most prestigious competitions including ESPN World Salsa Championships, World Latin Dance Cup, World Mayan Bachata Competition, & Australian Latin Open. She has performed and coached in over 50 cities worldwide and continues to work with those committed to enhancing Latin Styling in their communities.

Currently, beside her ‘Dancing With The Stars’ partner Csaba Szirmai, as the 2012 Australian Latin Open Champion, Serena is touring Australia & New Zealand. On tour, she coaches ladies in the unique styling ‘tactics’ of Deseo Dance Company and motivates the ladies which allow for breakthroughs into a whole new level of themselves!
